Decorating for the Reception

Friday, June 11, 2010
Here we are decorating a day early for my dad's wedding reception. The ladies hanging up lanterns & white lights. The kids putting candies on the table.
The ladies working on the floral arrangements and leis.

Some of the beautiful flowers.

Almost finished.
We didn't want to put the flowers out yet since the reception wasn't until the following evening. So I'll post more pictures of the finishing touches. Besides it's time to go to the beach after hours of preparation.

FAMILY

We made a family trip to San Diego because my dad was finally getting married. We flew down Wednesday, June 9, 2010 to be there for all the festivities. We stayed with my best friend, Lisa. Thanks Papa Joe, Lisa, JJ and Kai for letting us invade your home. Love you guys!
Thursday, June 10, 2010 my dad and his fiancee, Geri, planned a dinner at their house in Riverside. We got to spend time with family and meet & get to know Geri & family. Geri scheduled a photographer to come and take photos of all the families. Which are below. They turned out beautiful.
Thank you dad & Geri for the dinner and the hospitality. We love you!
Just a little background. My dad has 11 children. Yes, you read that right, eleven. Two of our sisters are not pictured below because they were unable to make it. Shannon & Karleen. Shannon & her husband, Allen, have 8 children. Karleen & her husband, Donald, have 7 children.
Therefore, at the current moment, my dad has 38 grandchildren just from his 11 children. Including 2 more on the way. That will make a total of 40 grandchildren. Plus he has 3 great-grandchildren and one on the way. That's a lot of children! Anyhow, at the dinner there were 23 grandchildren on father's side all under the age of 9. Pretty crazy, huh?
We love our family!

3rd Doctors Appt

Tuesday, June 1, 2010 was Oloiso's third doctors appointment. He had to get his first shots. So sad. It's no fun watching your baby get pricked but needless to say it went by fast and he took it very well.

Age 2 months 2 days
Weight 9 lbs 5 oz (6.59 Percentile)
Length 21 inches (1.55 Percentile)
Head Circumference 14.75 inches (6.44 Percentile)

He's still a little guy and will be playing catch up for a while but at least he is on the charts. Woohoo! Look at his sad little face and his poor little thighs where he had to get his shots.

Getting kisses from mommy.

And loves for being such a big boy.

I L.O.V.E. this little man!

9 Weeks - May 31, 2010

You must be getting tired of my weekly posts of my son...I'm sorry. I just want to keep track of all the changes, his development, growth, etc. with him since he is my first (and maybe my only) child.
Here he is asleep in his bouncy chair.

Oloiso has been a little colicky since he was around 6 weeks old. So this is what we've had to do to calm him down and attempt to keep him from crying. This seems to be the one position he likes best. His cranky times usually start around 6:30 pm or so and last until 10:30 pm almost every night. So Rocky and I take turns each night, holding him like this and bouncing him around. It's sure made our arms stronger. It's getting harder though as he grows longer and gains weight. Talking about a work out.

Horse Shoe Pit

My lovey has been wanting a horse shoe pit in the yard for quite some time. He finally got the energy to move forward with building it. I love watching my husband working hard and breaking a sweat. It's so sexy!

His brother, Mike, helped him build it.

Measuring.

Caught in the act.

I didn't get pictures of the finished product and will have to get that one of these days. But they were able to finish it and start playing.

2 Months Old (8 Weeks)

Okay, so I'm horrible at taken a picture on the actual day. So I have pictures the day before and the day after he actually turned 8 weeks old. Silly me.

Oh well, here is our little boy. He's just so cute no matter what he does . . . sleeping, crying, laughing, scowling, yawning, etc. Just a pictures of the many expressions of our son.

How could you not fall in love with this little boy. I just want to squeeze him, chew on him, love him. Do you think he ever gets tired of me kissing him? I LOVE my baby boy!

Olo sleeping on our bed. Daddy cuddling with his baby boy.

Hanging out with daddy in the yard. Of course dad had to put this sun glasses on his head. He thought they would fit but when he put them on it kind of dwarfed his head. Still cute though.
