Laughing

Are you tired yet of seeing pictures of this little guy? I know, I'm obsessed. But look how cute he is. I can't help it. And if you waited 17 years for him, I'm sure you'd be doing the same thing. I think I take a picture of him almost every day. Ya, that's obsession. Maybe I need to see a professional about that?
He's still a tiny little thing. People think he's a doll dressed up when I take him out because he's so little. I guess the bald head doesn't help either. Oh well, he's my little doll. Boy doll that is.

Oloiso and his older brother, Kodi.

Check out this cute video of my baby laughing. Trina, my grand-daughter, was making him laugh so we had to catch it on video.

First Solid Food & Play Doe

Oloiso is almost 5 months so we thought we would try some solid foods. His first bite of rice cereal. He didn't have much but it's a start.
Olivia got some play doe from church so we thought we would play with it. It was a family event. It was fun to see every one's creative side and what they could come up with. The things we do to entertain ourselves.
Alia and her snail. Olivia and her snail.
Selena and her snail. Alia and her sea shell.
My pumpkin. Olivia's piggy.
Alia's piggy with a gangsta lean. Selena's flower.
Grama wondering why her snail looks so strange. Grama and her heart.
And the finale . . . grama's man. Hmmm, don't ask.

The funniest part was watching and listening to grama make her creations. She is so much fun to be around. You are almost guaranteed to laugh. That's why we love her.

All Islander Softball Tournament

The All Islander Softball Tournament was hosted in Reno, Nevada this year. Pictured below is Rocky's team. We played at a new softball complex this year and the fields were made of that new astro turf stuff. Very different to play on.
Jesse playing third base for his team.
Rocky got a bad hop while playing catcher, the ball split his brow open and gave him a nice shiner. In all the years I've watched him play, I've never seen him get hurt. But he toughed it out and continued to play through out the tournament. What a trooper!
Captured some moments with Kodi and his baby brother.
All of us getting ready to go to the banquet. (Left to Right: Me, Oloiso, Meka, Mallory, Rocky, Kodi & Nate). My honey & I.
Our sweet little boy slept through all the dancing, singing, noise, etc.
The ladies receiving their second place award. Woohoo! I won't mention that there were only two teams playing. Ya, that's our secret to winning trophies. Ha!
Rocky & the his team receiving their second place trophy. But at least with them they had 10 teams. So they really did earn theirs.

NICU

I'm so horrible because I didn't get very many pictures or video of the baby while we were at the hospital. Anyways, here is proud daddy with his baby boy.

I was already discharged from the hospital and was able to stay in the guest quarters because I was nursing and baby was still in the NICU. It was nice to be so close to my son. I was really tired though because I was nursing every three hours and it would take about 45 minutes for the whole process. Then when I would return to my room I would have to pump for 15 minutes. So I didn't get much sleep. The nurses in the NICU kept telling me I could skip a feeding and get a good 6 hours of sleep but I didn't want to miss any time with my son. I wanted to be there for him and encourage him to eat so we could leave the hospital.

As you can see from the below picture, Oloiso has a cabash (sp??) in his nose. While I would nurse they would feed him through a tube in his nose. Any milk I could pump would be put in the cabash. Of course they had to supplement formula because I was having a hard time producing enough breast milk to feed my son.

You can see how tiny my baby boy was with Kodi's hand right next to him.

Kodi visiting his baby brother for the first time.

My husband bought me these beautiful flowers. So bright and pretty. I LOVE flowers!

It even had this beautiful butterfly accessory.

The special note from my loving husband.
