Day 3 in Saint Charles, IL

Norton Farms. This is where Carly wanted to take the girls. They had quite a few things for the kids to do. A little maze.

To make it a little more exciting we turned it into a race. Look at Olivia cheating.

Sora & Olivia.

The tractor, pumpkins.

A scarecrow, haystack.

The girls being silly.

Finding the needle in the haystack, a train.

They had a few animals you could pet as well.
All in all the girls had a wonderful time hanging out with their cousin, Carly.
Nohno (mom) making rolls for dinner. That's how they do it back home.

Chicago, We have arrived!

Rocky & I decided the last minute that we would all fly Grama Kiniya back to Chicago. We had saved up miles on our rewards so it was nice to not have to pay for airline tickets. So we all, Grama, Dad, Me, Sora, Olivia and Oloiso flew to Chicago. Baby did really well on the flight but it was a long day for all of us. But guess what was waiting for us when we arrived? Auntie Kimiya always treats us right. She had a limo waiting for us which is nice since it's a one hour ride to their home in Saint Charles. Here are the girls rolling rock star style.

Grama.

Daddy.

So the funny thing that happened is when we arrive to Saint Charles and pull up to the house. Mind you it's about 12:00 am in the morning. Rocky goes up to the door and starts ringing the doorbell. A man's voice asks who it is at the intercom. Rocky told him it was us and the guy was acting like he didn't know who we were. In the meantime, the limo driver is unloading our luggage. I get up to the door and Rocky asks the man if this is the Matthews home. The guy told him no. We turned around and asked the limo driver if he got the right address. He went to double check his instructions and said oops I thought the last number was a 2. Kimiya's house was like four more houses down. Great! So we woke up her neighbor in the wee hours of the morning. Fun stuff.

Banana Splits

One thing I really enjoyed growing up is when we'd have banana splits. So doing this with the girls brought back childhood memories. Ummmm, gotta love banana splits!

First Solid Food & Play Doe

Oloiso is almost 5 months so we thought we would try some solid foods. His first bite of rice cereal. He didn't have much but it's a start.
Olivia got some play doe from church so we thought we would play with it. It was a family event. It was fun to see every one's creative side and what they could come up with. The things we do to entertain ourselves.
Alia and her snail. Olivia and her snail.
Selena and her snail. Alia and her sea shell.
My pumpkin. Olivia's piggy.
Alia's piggy with a gangsta lean. Selena's flower.
Grama wondering why her snail looks so strange. Grama and her heart.
And the finale . . . grama's man. Hmmm, don't ask.

The funniest part was watching and listening to grama make her creations. She is so much fun to be around. You are almost guaranteed to laugh. That's why we love her.

Adoring the New Addition

Oloiso was just a tad bit jaundice so we laid him in the sun for a little while. Daddy is just in awe of his baby and can't stop staring at him. He said, "I'm never going to get anything done if I just sit here and stare at you." Ah, true love.

Oloiso getting some sun rays.

Nana had to wear a mask because she had some kind of allergies or something. She didn't want to get the baby sick so she took precautions.
