Craft Room - Storage Bins

Slowly but surely putting together my storage bins for my craft room. One of these days I will have an absolutely sweet craft room. One of these days . . .

Horse Shoe Pit

My lovey has been wanting a horse shoe pit in the yard for quite some time. He finally got the energy to move forward with building it. I love watching my husband working hard and breaking a sweat. It's so sexy!

His brother, Mike, helped him build it.

Measuring.

Caught in the act.

I didn't get pictures of the finished product and will have to get that one of these days. But they were able to finish it and start playing.

Vegetable Garden

So here are some up-dated pictures of our vegetable garden. Things are growing so quickly that we aren't able to eat it all. So we've been giving to family and friends. It's just so cool to be able to say here is some broccoli from our own garden and it looks like it's store bought.

I really enjoy working in my yard and making it beautiful. It's a challenge on trying to figure out what plants and flowers will work where. Especially when you need to consider sun light, soil and watering. But it's definitely something I take pride in and love doing. If only I had more time, my gardens would be immaculate. This part of the gardens has some really lovely scents as well. It's wonderful to walk through this area and smell slight hints of cinnamon and chocolate mint, along with the stargazer lilies and roses. Ummm, heaven.

The pictures don't really do it justice and looks so much more inviting in person. But you get the general idea.

I think this part of my garden has gotten to the point where I don't really need to weed it and it has flowers and greenery from spring to fall. It's only taken me three years. Now, for the rest of the gardens.

Next Project

So after we made aprons, actually come to think of it before we made aprons, we sewed curtains for Rocky's living room. This was a fairly easy project and didn't take much time. It was finding the material that took time. But we are all happy with the results. I just have to thank my sister, Dacia, for always helping me & getting me to complete projects I always put off. Maybe she should make it a regular habit to come out here, that way I'll have all my home improvement projects completed in no time =0)

Kitchen

I'm finally getting around to posting pictures of my kitchen. I painted it a few months ago and just took pictures. Of course the picture doesn't really do the kitchen justice. I painted it a light purple color which really makes the cabinets pop. I still need to up-date the microwave/oven to a brush nickel or stainless steel, so it goes with the rest of the appliances. We also want to up grade the counter tops to granite or something nice. But that will all need to wait until we can afford it.

Fish Tank

So the weekend project this last week was to get the fish tank cleaned. It's about a 75 gallon tank and it seems we clean it thoroughly about once every two years. I think we might have to change that to once every year.
Below is Mallory siphoning all the water out. After she removed all the fish into a water cooler.

The fish in the water cooler and Kodi cleaning the filter pump system.
This is totally disgusting!
This is how dirty the filters were. YUK!

Rocky putting the pump back together.

I placed the rocks and decoration in the tank.

The final look after everything is in and cleaned. Doesn't it look amazing! I should have took a before picture but I forgot.
