Ouch!

So I took Olo with me to the post office and instead of carrying his entire car seat with him in it, I just took him out. He was all bundled up because it was cold and icy out. While returning to the truck with the mail in one arm and baby in the other. I slip. And well it's inevitable, I fall.

It was the strangest feeling because it was like it was in slow motion but not. It's like I could picture the baby hitting his head on the ice and I'm thinking how on earth can I prevent that from happening. So I tried to slow down the fall by trying to fall on my knees and roll. Unfortunately, it didn't happen that way. I still ended up falling forward and unable to catch myself . Baby was in my left arm and good thing he was all bundled in a thick jacket because I think that's what kept him from hitting his head. Thank Heaven! He cried a little because it scared him . . . so did I.

The van parked next to me had a lady in the passenger seat. She opened her door and asked if we were alright. I told her we were fine.

I recover quickly open my door put the mail down. Open the back passenger door. Buckle baby in. And try to collect myself. So while I'm trying to put the baby in this guy comes up and tells me to close my doors (the van parked to my left). I'm thinking, the nerve of him. I just fell with my son in my arms. You have a van which the door slides open, it's not like you need room to open it up. Besides there was enough room even with my doors open. So I slam my doors shut and just glare.

Anyhow, it really did hurt and even though I had jeans on I somehow still scraped my knees. I know it looks like a little scratch but it hurt worse than it looks. All I can say is I'm glad the baby didn't get hurt.

Obviously, falling didn't really affect him. He still figures out a way to push things around and climb up on them.

Baby Hands

Well I attempted to do a 3D keepsake of Oloiso's feet. And well that project did not turn out so well. So I thought I would do this clay imprint instead because I just love the tiny things about babies.
My son is not very cooperative when it comes to these projects. So I had to try a couple of times because when I would put his hand down to make the imprint, he would grab and the clay and scratch it all up. Oh well, I gotta love his enthusiasm.
Aren't those just the cutest little hands. I L.O.V.E. them!

Shopping, food, friends

Selena's last day before having to fly back to Washington. So I had to take her shopping and stop for a bite to eat at Old Chicago. Love us some calazones and chocolate chip cookie with ice cream. That's what put a this smile on my face.

Baby Olo and Selena

Then we headed over for a visit with Summer and the kids.
My beautiful ornaments she gave me.

Olo listening to the bear read with Auntie Summer. Looks so studious in them glasses.
I can't really tell how he felt about the moving, talking bear but he sure loves his auntie.

Thanksgiving

Yes, daddy looks a little tired. But this is Oloiso's new face he makes. Like he's a little tough guy. The scrunched up nose . . . like "You wanna piece of me" look. Funny kid.
He also likes to get in his bouncy chair but jump in it instead of sit and bounce.
Olivia was a little paranoid that he would fall and hurt himself so she started to surround him with blankets and pillows. What a loving sister.

We decided to spend Thanksgiving over at Grama Pat's this year. Yes, saved me from making an entire Thanksgiving meal.
Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. Why? Well because of the food of course. No, that's not really why. I just love the meaning of the holiday. Of giving thanks and being thankful. And yes, I won't like . . . I LOVE the food too.
Oloiso's first Thanksgiving and he's attempting to eat mashed potatoes with that face again.
Me and my handsome husband! I just love him to pieces and am thankful we met and are sharing our lives together.
Wow, mommy needs to loose some weight! Sheesh!

Teething?

One of the hardest things as parents is to see your babies sick and not be able to do anything about it. This is the first time we were dealing with Oloiso being sick. He ran a really high fever 103.6 for a couple days. Because he was also drooling a lot and had a runny nose we figured he was teething. It still was not a fun couple of nights for either daddy or mommy. I'm sure it wasn't fun for baby either.
Here daddy is doing his best to ease the pain his baby is going through.

It was just so sad to see him like this. He just wanted to be held and was pretty lathargic for a few days. Our poor little boy.

Trunk or Treat

I took the girls to the ward trunk or treat Halloween party. Good food, good company. Yeah, I didn't have an outfit to dress Olo in. Sorry.

The girls dressed up as . . . I'm not really sure.

Olo trying to wear Olivia's wig. The thing is bigger than he is.

Tap Out

This girl is always hurting herself. They were playing tap out in my living room. And well this is what happens when she refuses to tap out. Such a tuffy. Auntie Summer being her nurse.

Me feeding my grand-daughter, Brielle and my son, Oloiso.
Had to post this picture of his happy little face.

And this picture of her happy little face.
