Christmas Spread 2010

I wanted to make my table extra beautiful for the Christmas dinner. I found this beautiful way to fold the napkins for the table. It looks like a flower. See steps below.

Isn't it pretty?

The completed table with settings and food. Now just missing the people.

Merry Christmas everyone!

The aftermath.

Just some random pictures of cute little kids.

It's been a tradition of mine to always get mind teasers. I love them!

So every year we get a few new ones and everyone tries to solve them.

It's so fun to watch everyone try. Get frustrated. Try a little more. Give up. Try a little more. Then be so excited that they solved it.

Here are a few of the family members trying some of them out.

Christmas Wreaths

Sora & Olivia had their friends RaeLynn & Tina over. So what better to do than a craft, right? So I saw this idea on-line (not exactly sure where) on making Christmas wreaths out of paper. It looked rather simple and fun. Plus I liked how the end result looked (at least on the website I saw). Now actually doing the project took a little more time than I thought and well not so easy for the in-experienced girls. But all in all their wreaths turned out nice. Although there were burnt fingers from the hot glue gun. Oops!

So you cut these little circles out. Of course I wouldn't do it if I didn't have my handy dandy cricut.

Then you fold the circles like so.

Then you stack the folded pieces in fours one inside the other.

Then glue it on a large round circle. And well this is kind of what they are supposed to look like.

After the friends had to leave. Sora and I decided to work on another project, tissue paper trees. Saw this on my sister Dacia's blog. Olivia was too tired and went to sleep so Sora & I stayed up until wee hours in the morn making our trees. Really time consuming. But her tree turned out cute!
