Sunday Breakfast

We decided to have a big breakfast Sunday, March 1st. So I made french toast, hash browns, bacon and eggs with orange juice and milk. I love when we can sit down as a family and eat good food. YUM!

Kitchen

I'm finally getting around to posting pictures of my kitchen. I painted it a few months ago and just took pictures. Of course the picture doesn't really do the kitchen justice. I painted it a light purple color which really makes the cabinets pop. I still need to up-date the microwave/oven to a brush nickel or stainless steel, so it goes with the rest of the appliances. We also want to up grade the counter tops to granite or something nice. But that will all need to wait until we can afford it.

Fish Tank

So the weekend project this last week was to get the fish tank cleaned. It's about a 75 gallon tank and it seems we clean it thoroughly about once every two years. I think we might have to change that to once every year.
Below is Mallory siphoning all the water out. After she removed all the fish into a water cooler.

The fish in the water cooler and Kodi cleaning the filter pump system.
This is totally disgusting!
This is how dirty the filters were. YUK!

Rocky putting the pump back together.

I placed the rocks and decoration in the tank.

The final look after everything is in and cleaned. Doesn't it look amazing! I should have took a before picture but I forgot.

My Husband Rocks

Prompt/Theme for Friday, February 20, 2009

Share your favorite "married moment" from the past couple of weeks. Anything that was special, made you smile, or made you feel all "warm and fuzzy" :)

It's amazing how it just seems our relationship just continues to grow and grow. Sometimes I think we are as close as we could ever be, then something will happen or be said that makes us that much closer.

January 25th Rocky and I were driving back from the store and I asked him if he ever felt that he loved someone so much he could never love another again. I think I got that question from some movie I watched recently. Anyway, his answer to me was, "Yes, when you were dancing for me at our wedding reception. You looked so beautiful and you were mine." He continued to tell me that I am an amazing woman and he couldn't ask for anyone better. And knowing that everyone else wishes they had someone as beautiful and wonderful as me and knowing that I was all his, makes him feel good.

He also told me the first time he realized how much he loved me was our first trip to Hawaii. We were holding each other watching hula dancers at our hotel. Then we went walking down the blvd and he said he was so proud that he had the most beautiful amazing woman in the world in his arms.

Okay, if that didn't make me smile, feel special or "warm and fuzzy" than I must be dead. As a matter of fact it made me tear up and it was so meaningful to me that I had to write in my journal as soon as we got home. That's how come I have the actual date he said this to me.

Student of the Week Again

Olivia has done it again. She got student of the week & she invited us to eat lunch with her at the Honor table. YEAH! It was so cute because she left a message on my phone inviting us and that she was going to have Subway again and if we couldn't make it that it would be okay because she would just ask someone else. Funny girl.
This time dad said he wasn't going to miss it. He was at some disposition this morning and told the court that he would leave regardless if they were finished or not because he wasn't going to miss his daughter's lunch. He made it.

Happy Valentine's Day

Rocky & I decided to go up to our condo in Cascade to spend the weekend. He really wanted to go snow mobiling & I wanted to see the ice sculptures in McCall (or at least what is left of them). So what a perfect Valentine's weekend.
While the boys were out on a snow mobile poker run, the girls and I drove up to McCall. We had a little snack at Largo's. It's the place to go when you are in McCall. Then we drove around town and saw what was left of some of the ice sculptures. We also went into the Pancake House where they have a Christmas store (which is packed with all kinds of Christmas stuff). Then at the end was a store that has wool rugs & I fell in love with a dark chocolate brown 4 pelt rug. It was so soft you could just melt in it. Sorry no pictures.

Rocky posing for the picture.
And they are off. I would have gone snow mobiling this weekend but my neck and shoulders have been killing me. So maybe next weekend.
